Datin Zainab Binti Hj Md Shariff Independent Non-Executive Director
Datin Zainab binti Hj Md Shariff is appointed as an Independent Non Executive Director and Member of the Audit Committee of Permodalan BSN Berhad with effect from 1 April 2022 (“PBSNB”). She started her career in 1989 as a Valuer with Jones Lang Wootton and subsequently joined Citibank Bhd as an Assistant Manager for Credit Approval Unit. Datin then moved into the Capital Markets Sector as a Property Analyst attached with Public Bank Securities Sdn Bhd. In 1995, she joined RHB Asset Management Sdn Bhd as a Fund Manager and later promoted to the position of General Manager of Equity Investments. Pursuing her career, Datin joined Mayban Investment Management Sdn Bhd in 2001 as the Chief Investment Officer responsible to lead the company’s asset management team in managing multiple assets with value increasing to RM4bn as of March 2004.
Datin was a holder of Capital Markets Services Representative’s License (CMSRL) in Fund Management and currently holding the CMSRL in Dealing in Securities; the latter attached with TA Securities Holdings Bhd since October 2004, as a Senior Vice President, Institutional Sales. Her working experiences encompass various key sectors spanning over 32 years. Datin Zainab holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Estate Management from University of Central England, Birmingham, UK. Datin also holds memberships of Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Association of Valuers, Property Managers, Estate Agents and Property Consultants in the Private Sector (PEPS) as well as the Malaysian Institute of Property and Facility Managers (MIPFM).
